A large and beautiful French antique wooden altar crucifix featuring stunning Corpus Christi (Body of Christ) sculpture and a wonderful baroque base with Memento Mori. Great antique woodwork artistry with wonderful polychromy (painting in colour). This crucifix comes from a convent in France and dates back to the early to mid 1700s.
General: The overall dimensions of the crucifix are a height of 26 inches (66 cm), a width of 11 inches (28 cm). The overall dimensions of the Jesus sculpture are a height of 13.6 inches (34.5 cm) a height from the head to the toes of 11.2 inches (28.5 cm) and a width of 8.1 inches (20.5 cm).
