A RARE, very large and beautiful French antique 18th century church wooden Corpus Christi (Body of Christ) sculpture. Incredible wood carving workmanship on this sculpture with a large amount of detail and divine facial expression. The sculpture dates back to the period of the 1700's.
General: The overall dimensions of Jesus sculpture are height 53.5 inches (136cm), head to toes 49 inches (125cm), width 39.4 inches (100cm).
Condition:The Corpus Christi is in good condition with no damage besides age appropriate wear - some treated woodworm holes on the back ....... please see enclosed images as they are part of the condition description.
