Virgin Mary Child Jesus Wooden Sculpture 22” / 56 cm
A beautiful French wooden sculpture depicting Virgin Mary holding Baby Jesus. Wonderful carving workmanship with great amounts of details and serene facial expressions. A flat back and hole and hook on the back of the statue indicate that it was previously part of an altar setting. Dates back to the period of the late 1800s / early 1900s.
General:The overall dimensions are height 22 inches (56cm) and width is 7.5 inches (19cm). Depth of base is 4.3 inches (11cm).
