St Elizabeth of Hungary Wood Sculpture 8”
A beautiful Italian wood carving sculpture depicting Saint Elizabeth of Hungary also known as Saint Elisabeth of Thuringia, princess of the Kingdom of Hungary, Landgravine of Thuringia, Germany and patroness of the Third Order of St. Francis. Stunning hand carving workmanship with huge amounts of details and wonderful polychrome (painting in colour) and gilding. Dating back to the period of the mid to late 1900’s.
The overall dimensions are height 8.1 inches (20.5cm) and width 3.1 inches (8cm). Depth of base is 2.4 inches (6cm).
