A stunning French antique (17th / 18th Century) Corpus Christi (Body of Christ) wooden statue. This Corpus Christi comes with a bespoke metal display stand from which it can be easily removed and used for a cross, wall or other display. The sculpture dates back to the period of the 1600s - 1700s.
General: The overall height with the stand is 18.7 inches (47.5 cm). The overall dimensions of the Corpus Christi statue are a height of 16 inches (40.5 cm), a height from the toes to the head of 13.4 inches (34 cm), a width of 9.8 inches (25 cm).
Condition: This Corpus Christi is in good condition with no damage besides age-related wear - accident to the foot and old treated woodworm holes. Please see the enclosed images.
