An elegant antique brass devotional crown, intended for a statue of the Virgin Mary. Richly decorated with elaborate Rococo Revival openwork, scrolling foliage, ornamental cartouches and red and blue enamel inserts. A decorative example of European ecclesiastical metalwork, suitable for collectors of religious antiques or for mounting on a devotional statue. 

General: The crown’s overall dimensions are: a height of 4.7 inches (12 cm), a width of 6.9 inches (17.5 cm) and the head diameter is 5.9 inches (15 cm).

Condition: The crown is in good condition - the crown retains an attractive aged patina, with surface wear and oxidation consistent with age. Please see the enclosed images.
