This is a large antique bronze sculpture depicting two cupids fighting over a heart after Etienne-Maurice Falconet - French sculpture (1716 - 1791). This work had a great success in the second half of the 19th century, and was reproduced in bronze, marble or alabaster. This bronze sculpture is signed Falconnet on the base. Dates back to the mid 1800s.
The statue's overall dimensions are 18.3 inches (46.5 cm) high, 12.2 inches (31 cm) wide, and 8.7 inches (22 cm) deep. It weighs 37 pounds / 16.8 kg.
