A large and beautiful antique 18th century wooden sculpture depicting Corpus Christi (Body of Christ). Stunning wood carving and polychrome (painting in color) on this sculpture with a large amount of detail and divine facial expression. The Corpus Christi is currently mounted on a bespoke metal display stand from which it can be easily removed and used for a cross or wall display. The sculpture dates back to the period of the 1700s.
General: The overall height with stand is 28 inches (71 cm). Dimensions of Christ sculpture are height 22.4 inches (57 cm), height head to toes 20,5 inches (52 cm), width is 15.4 inches (39 cm) and the base is 4,7 x 4,7 inches (12 cm x 12 cm), weight is 4,2 pounds (1,9 kg).
