A large and beautiful antique 18th - 19th century Corpus Christi (Body of Christ) wooden sculpture. Stunning wood carving artistry on this sculpture with a huge amount of detail and divine facial expression. The Corpus Christi is currently mounted on a bespoke metal display stand from which it can be easily removed and used for a cross or wall display. The sculpture dates back to the period of the mid to late 1800s.

The overall dimensions of the Christ sculpture are a height of 22.6 inches (57.5 cm), a height from the head to the toes of 19.3 inches (49 cm) and a width of 17.7 inches (45 cm) and the metal base is 5.9 x 5.9 inches (15 x 15 cm) wide.
