St Dismas the Good Thief | 1700s RARE Crucifix | 20,5"
A very RARE antique crucifix with St Dismas the Good Thief (Penitent Thief, Wise Thief, Grateful Thief) featuring a very rare position of the left leg, glass eyes and wonderful gilded and polychrome base with cork part imitating Golgotha ground. This crucifix with St Dismas comes from a convent in France and dates back to the period of 1.
General: The overall dimensions of the cross are the height of 20.5 inches (52 cm), the width of 8.7 inches (22 cm), dimensions of the St Dismas sculpture are the height of 10.2 inches (26 cm), height from the head to toes 9.1 inches (23 cm) width is 5.5 inches (14 cm) and the base 7.5 x 6.3 inches (19 x 16 cm) wide.
