A RARE, large and beautiful antique wooden sculpture depicting Pelican-In-Her-Piety, symbolizes the sacrifice of Christ on the cross (because he gave his blood for others) as well as
the Eucharist (because it represents Christ's blood and provides spiritual nourishment). Formerly part of the altar setting, Comes from a convent in France and dates back to the period of the 1700s.
General: The dimensions of the sculpture are a height of 17.7 inches (45 cm) and a width of 13.4 inches (34 cm) and the depth is 8.3 inches (21 cm), weight is 8.6 pound (3.9 kg).
