Sacred Heart of Jesus Wood Carving | 1800s Antique | 13" / 33 cm
A large, RARE and beautiful antique wooden sculpture depicting the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ. Stunning woodwork artistry with large amounts of detail like gilded radiation rays, the flame and the cross on the top and the crown of thorns around the heart. The sculpture is currently mounted on a bespoke metal display stand from which it can be easily removed and displayed on a wall. It comes from a convent in Northern France and dates back to the mid 1800s.
General: The overall height with the stand is 17.3 inches (44 cm). The overall dimensions of the heart sculpture are a height of 13 inches (33 cm), a width of 15 inches (38 cm). The metal base is 3.9 inches x 3.9 inches (10 cm x 10 cm) wide.
