St Benedict of Nursia Wood Carving Sculpture | 1700s Antique | 27.2"/ 69 cm
A large and beautiful French church antique (18th / 19th century) wooden sculpture depicting Saint Benedict of Nursia with his traditional attributes as crosier and book. Great woodwork artistry on this sculpture with huge amounts of details. The sculpture is set on a later wooden base. It comes from a monastery in France and dates back to the 1700s / 1800s.
