A RARE museum quality antique 18th century Baroque French wooden sculpture depicting Immaculate Conception of The Blassed Virgin Mary set in the beautiful and very decorative shrine. Stunning woodwork artistry with beautiful polychrome and gilding and a wonderful halo / aureola in the back of the statue. It comes from a monastery in France and dates back to the period of the 1700s.
General: The overall height 20.7 inches (52.5 cm), width is 9.1 inches (23 cm) and the depth is 5.9 inches (15 cm), dimensions of the sculpture are height 15.4 inches (39 cm), width is 6.3 inches (16 cm) and the depth is 3.3 inches (8.5 cm).
