This is a beautiful French antique Mercury / Fire gilded bronze altar crucifix featuring a wonderful silver plated bronze gothic Corpus Christi (body of Chrtist) statue, Memento Mori, a Serpent around the globe and a round base supported by four scrolled feet. It dates back to the late 1700s.
General: The cross's overall dimensions are 19.7 inches (50 cm) high and 8.5 inches (21.5 cm) wide. The overall dimensions of the Corpus Christi are 7.5 inches (19 cm) high and 6.9 inches (17.5 cm) wide. The base is 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) wide. It weights 3.2 kg / 7.1 pounds.
