A RARE and beautiful plaster statue depicting Saint Begga of Andenne (also known as St Begge or St Begua). On the death of her husband in 691 in a hunting accident, Begga took the veil, founded seven churches and built a convent at Andenne on the Meuse River in France where she spent the rest of her days as abbess. The statue dates back to the period of mid 1900's. For a more detailed description please refer to the pictures.

General: The overall dimensions are height 16.5 inches (420mm), width 6.6 inches (170mm) and depth of base 4.3 inches (110mm).

Condition: The statue is in very good condition with no damage besides age appropriate wear ....... please see photos for condition as 1 picture is worth 1000 words.
